Background

About Panesco

Based in Belgium, Panesco is a brand of the La Lorraine group, which is the largest independent bakery group in Belgium. The goal of this project was to build an online channel for Panesco.

The key goal was to increase brand awareness with impact on lead generation using sample orders and contact forms. Secondary goals were to extend the website with more relevant content, to increase brand engagement by increasing content downloads and subscription to the newsletter, to create a unique web design and increase web traffic.

Panesco

Creating an extendable platform for content creation and increasing customer engagement was a nice and challenging task. In order to keep the cost low, we had to find the right balance between flexible, customizable design and ease of administration.

Integration with 3rd party vendors’ systems, such as SAP Hybris, provides structured data which are managed only in one place (SAP). The website serves only as a presentation layer.

Our solution

Kentico and Azure

A scalable architecture design was created in alignment with Kentico CMS out-of-the-box functionalities. The best practices of Microsoft Azure were used to build infrastructure in the Azure PaaS approach.

Microsoft Azure in Paas mode

Using Azure in PaaS mode has allowed us to save on costs connected with deployment and continuous integration. Less effort was spent on any geolocation scaling and, of course, we have avoided any hassle with security patches.

Thorough inception

Thanks to thorough initial research, no scaling was needed although the project spread is Europe-wide with overseas outreach.
