Senior Consultant - Cybersecurity

About the job 

As an Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for advising clients on how to safeguard their digital assets, networks, and information systems against potential threats. You will assess the security of infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and design robust solutions to mitigate risks. The role involves hands-on technical work, strategic consulting, and client interaction to ensure their systems remain secure and compliant with industry standards.

What will be your key responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments, manage penetration testing projects, and vulnerability analysis.
• Develop and implement security strategies and policies tailored to client needs.
• Advise clients on best practices for secure infrastructure design, network security, data protection, and incident response.
• Investigate and mitigate security breaches or vulnerabilities in client systems.
• Ensure client compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, security trends, and tools.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders outlining security risks and recommendations.
• Assist with pre-sales activities during the sales cycle as needed.

What we expect:

• 4+ years of experience in IT security consulting, information security, or related fields.
• Proven track record of delivering security assessments and recommendations.
• Experience with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and DORA.
• Expertise in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit, Burp Suite).
• Knowledge of encryption standards, cryptography, and authentication protocols is a plus.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and create detailed risk management strategies.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Professional German language is a big advantage.
